4140 used for die basis for aluminium injection. It’s an option when 1045 shows insuficient, work very well between 60 and 140 kg/mm2 of tension resistance and has a high toughness. Can construct plastic moulds, basis for dies, shock boards. Small pieces can be tempered for 50 hrc, but the usual is between from 28 to 42 hrc. Pieces for work under 0°C. In seven days we can supply them in the mechanical resistance as customer specification.

8620 steel for cementation indicated for construction of gadget that needs class hardned and a tough heart: drawer, ruler, lathe bed, gear. When used for mould plastic construction can be nitrited or cementing and tempered being this last one less advised because of distorcion caused. Manufactured specially for special steel with a high reduction in forging, giving special structure for application with more responsibility. Also indicated for blades to plastic mill and cemented pieces that needs a good finishing.
